DESCRIPTION:Flex-Arkana & The Softshelled Armadillos are a movement in order to reclaim the “outlaw country” music vibe and spirit of the days of Waylon, Willie, Merle, Jerry Jeff and many others while also blending it with the funk, blues, psych, experimental, garage and punk sounds and spirits of that same era. We bring pickin, shreddin, fuzzed out bass and ass beater drumming to any venue we occupy and we leave it all on stage. We’re not here to pander to shallow minds by half assing requests off an iPad, or perform the same monotonous covers you’ve heard thousands of times. We want you to saddle up in the big rig with us while we race down the the proverbial cosmic highway in an attempt to explore such possibilities as “what if Ernie Isley joined church of misery and they covered Townes van zandt tunes?” And if none of this makes sense just come check it out.\n
